Landlords can list properties on RentMate at no cost until 1 October. No card required, no automatic charges. Structured tenant applications, the AI Lease Generator, the Landlord Compliance Checker, video tours and scam protection are all included. Anything listed before 1 October stays live afterwards.

Our compliance tool is now the Landlord Compliance Checker. The previous name referred to "Tenancy Management Duties", which is not an actual piece of Irish legislation — TMD stands for Tenancy of Minimum Duration, the rolling 6-year security of tenure introduced on 1 March 2026. We also corrected two outdated rules in the tool: rent reviews moved from 24 to 12 months, and CPI replaced HICP as the rent cap benchmark.

The Dublin Rent Map now carries the official Daft.ie figures for their six Dublin zones alongside our own area estimates, with the difference between the two clearly marked. We have also added the gap between what sitting tenants pay and what movers pay — the single most useful number in the market right now.

Landlords issued 4,031 termination notices between April and June, down 42.9% on the record first quarter. The RTB says this shows continued signs of stabilisation following the rental law reform. More than half of the landlords who issued notices said they intended to sell the property.

The RTB can now issue fixed payment notices for six breaches of rental law — €200 for a rent-related breach and €100 for the others. All RTB adjudication hearings are held in public, with full reports naming the parties and the property address. Landlords now have 7 days to send the RTB a copy of a notice of termination or rent review, and notices of termination must no longer be posted.
